Biography

I have been drawing and painting as soon as I could hold a crayon. At nine years old I had the opportunity to take drawing and painting classes that were offered locally, which I loved. I took art classes all throughout high school, ending off by taking AP Art my senior year. I didn’t major in art in college, but my passion remained, and I was fortunate to be able to take a sculpture class and a painting class during that time. Throughout my college years, I found myself drawing whenever I had the chance outside of class as well as sneaking in drawings while taking notes in class. Oil paints and pastels are currently my favorite mediums to work with, but as you can see in my past work, I’ve also worked with watercolor, graphite, acrylic, and colored pencil.

My drawings and paintings are my own personal visions – some are inspired by dreams I’ve had, but oftentimes, I will get an idea for a piece while simply going about my daily life. Sometimes, I receive a spark of inspiration to just start creating, and I go to my workspace and see what wants to reveal itself. I am inspired by imagined/other realities, the dream world, nature, and animals. I enjoy using bright, vivid colors that would not ordinarily be seen in daily life to capture the dreamlike, otherworldly feeling I get when I create my art.

I’m thrilled to be able to share my art with you, and I hope it touches your heart and inspires you.
